The Syntagma Square “donned” its holiday attire with the lighting of the Christmas tree.
Crowds of people and tourists were in the centre of Athens, in front of the Parliament, to admire the Christmas tree.
Stars, elves, and the nutcracker dominate the centre of Athens, which has officially entered the festive mood.
The 20-meter fir tree arrived in Athens from Taxiarchis in Halkidiki. The event was presented by Nancy Zambetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos while Nefeli Fasouli and the Athens Big Band “colored” the square with Christmas melodies.
