Irini Mourtzoukou: Panagiotakis’ mother speaks out – “If she’s involved, I will kill her”

The Irini Mourtzoukou mother of the young boy whose death is one of those being investigated for the Amaliada case.

Asked if it is proven that Irini Mourtzoukou had a hand in Panagiotakis’ death what her position would be, she replied “I will kill her with my own hands. For me, the child is not gone.”

Describing what happened to Panagiotakis, his mother expressed. He drank his milk and it was time to do my chores. When I came back from the bathroom, I saw my child like this, his head turned to the side, bruised and his tongue bitten. As soon as I took the child in my arms I knew he had fainted and immediately peace took him in hand to give him first aid.”

“We arrived at the hospital, we got out of the car, Irene in the front, Irene in the back, I told the doctor that the child was vomiting blood. Unfortunately, the child was already dead,” the boy’s mother continued.

She also said “I did not look at Irene when I was told that Panagiotis was dead. I didn’t ask her what happened but I asked her “did you do something?” and she replied, “No, Poppy”.

Irini’s reply

After Panagiotis’ mother’s testimony, Irini Mourtzoukou was asked why he yelled “What did you do?” and she replied, “She did it in her panic, I don’t know why she did it, someone asked her and she said it.”

To reinforce her point, she said, “If I wanted to do something, so many times I had Panagiotakis alone, wouldn’t I have done it?”
