The fire in Monemvasia is under control

Two helicopters, 36 firefighters and 11 vehicles were involved in the extinguishing operation

A major fire broke out in Monemvasia at noon Wednesday, which has been brought under control.

The fire was burning low vegetation, while 36 firefighters, 11 vehicles, and 2 helicopters were operating at the scene, and 2 helicopters were dropping water from the air.
