Germany’s Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble told journalists on Monday in Brussels that Greece may need some more time before the last tranche of the bailout program can be disbursed by the country’s lenders.
More specifically, the German Finance Minister said that “it would not be the first time Greece needs extra time to implement the agreed program.” However, he underlined that the country is still on the right path.
Euro zone ministers are discussing the possibility to extend the Greece’s current support program by six months, according to Reuters, even though the Greek government has only agreed to a few weeks’ extension.
