In his statements to private TV ANT1 on Monday, Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos admitted to sending text messages to three independent deputies, who got elected with his party, urging them not to vote for President of the Republic.
“I have sent text messages to three deputies, former members of ANEL who are not sell-outs. I wrote to them that despite the differences that separate us at the moment, they must make their decision based on what’s best for the country and the Greek citizens,” Mr. Kammenos said.
ANEK leader expressed his belief that independent MP Vassilis Kapernaros will not vote for President, adding that the same applies for Ms. Rachel Makri.
“I publically ask Costas Giovanopoulos and Chryssoula Giatagana to follow their example,” he underlined.
