The mayor of Kalavryta has announced the suspension of all primary, secondary, and kindergarten schools in the municipality for Wednesday (15/1) due to adverse weather conditions.
The decision, aimed at ensuring the safety of students, parents, and teachers, was made in coordination with the Region of Western Greece, the primary and secondary education directorates of Achaia, and school administrators.
School Closures in Kilkis
According to APE-MPE, all schools in the city of Kilkis, including special education facilities (Special School of Kilkis, Unified Special Vocational High School-Lyceum, Special Vocational Education and Training Laboratory, and the KDAP-MeA of the Municipality of Kilkis), will remain closed on Wednesday (15/1) by municipal decision to safeguard student safety.
However, primary and secondary schools in the outlying areas of the municipality will operate as usual. Additionally, children’s, nursery, and infant care centers will remain open.
In the municipality of Oraiokastro, Thessaloniki, the Melissochori kindergarten will be closed. Parents who wish to do so may transfer their children to the kindergarten in Liti. All other schools at all levels in the area will function as normal.
