Greek women accused of stealing luggage from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport – What was found in their homes, “They humiliated us unjustly,” they say to Protothema

How the police tracked them down – The duo’s frequent joint appearances often drew attention in the high-society hangouts they frequented

Newsroom January 17 08:04

On the night of January 15, 2025, police arrested two women accused of systematically stealing luggage from the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport. According to the preliminary police investigation, the two women allegedly stole luggage from the airport’s conveyor belts from November 2024 to date, transporting the items to their home in Vyronas.

A search of their home, as per the official police report, revealed a plethora of evidence connected to the case, including nine suitcases, luxury women’s accessories, branded clothing and footwear, as well as various amounts of cash in euros and foreign currencies. Among the findings were also two packages of Indian cannabis, and the vehicle they allegedly used to transport the stolen goods was confiscated.

One of the accused spoke to Protothema.gr, denying the allegations, stating: “We have nothing to do with what we are accused of. They humiliated us and accused us unfairly, and we will prove it.” However, she did not provide further details about her defense strategy.

The story of the two women reads like a novel. The first of them started her career 13 years ago, working at the airport of a cosmopolitan island, where her striking appearance and communicative charisma made her stand out. Over the years, she managed to build a luxurious lifestyle filled with expensive trips, designer bags, high-heeled shoes that turned heads, reminiscent of creations by top fashion designers, and elegant haute couture clothing. During the summers, she was often spotted enjoying herself at the island’s most famous establishments, always impeccably dressed, exuding the aura of a woman who thrived on attention. At the same time, although involved in various activities such as managing luxury properties and running a daycare center, she appeared to lead a life where hard work was unnecessary. Those who knew her described a woman who knew how to gain trust and convince others with her communication skills.

The second woman, equally beautiful and stylish, possessed a similar sense of elegance and sophistication. Her refined style, discreet yet striking appearances, and vibrant personality made her stand out, whether during nighttime outings or in everyday moments. The two women seemed to share common interests, and their frequent joint appearances often drew attention in the high-society venues they frequented.
