Returning to the pre-2014 borders of Ukraine is an unrealistic goal, US Defense Secretary Pete Haggett told a summit in Brussels today.

The US Defense Secretary also stressed that Washington does not see Ukraine’s membership in NATO as part of a peace plan to end the war in Ukraine.

He also said European members of the Alliance would provide the “overwhelming” share of future aid to Ukraine.
