Anatolia College applies for the establishment of a non-state higher education institution

It will start with Schools of Business and Economics (Business), Humanities and Social Sciences, Technology and Sciences - 30% of students are currently studying on scholarship

Newsroom February 21 04:20

With a view to launching in the coming academic year, 2025-26, the non-profit organization Anatolia in Thessaloniki, announced that it will apply for a permit to establish and operate branches of Legal Entities of University Education (NPEs) by March 31, when the deadline expires. The faculties that will mark the launch of the non-state university are Business Administration and Economics (Business), Humanities and Social Sciences (Humanities and Social Sciences), Technology and Sciences (Technology & Sciences). It is emphasized that currently, 30% of the total student population of the non-profit organization Anatolia, is studying on scholarship.

The activation of the new legal framework for the operation of private universities in Greece in cooperation with academic institutions abroad gives the opportunity to Anatolia to participate in the effort of the Greek State to make Greece a center for attracting foreign students and to stop the wave of young Greeks fleeing abroad for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The strategic objectives of the new project also include the repatriation of Greek academics and scientists and economic development through the human capital and know-how that will be developed in the country.

Anatolia declares itself present in the licensing process based on its long-standing university recognition in the United States and Europe, the expertise it has developed over the past 30 years and its academic programs based on international standards for the acquisition of scientific knowledge and skills important for the 21st century. These are strong characteristics that have already made Anatolia the most popular academic destination in Greece for students from American universities through exchange programs, with more than 6,000 students to date.

As part of the strategic goals set by the State, the new framework will allow the non-profit organization to attract an even greater number of Greek and international students thanks to the support, accommodation and security services it offers, enhancing the extroversion and role of Thessaloniki as an educational destination and, by extension, Greece on the global educational map.

For this reason, Anatolia recently completed the campus master plan, which foresees for its university level, the construction, in addition to the three existing buildings, of four new buildings, the first of which will be delivered for use in the autumn of 2027.
