A clear improvement of life in Thessaloniki due to the operation of the Metro and the actions of the municipal authorities is recorded in a poll conducted by Interview: 70% say that the Metro improves the quality of life in the city and 53.2% say that they use it as often as they can. At the same time, 47.3% say that it makes it easier to cope with parking shortages and 32.2% say that it has changed their mode of transport. However , there is also a 19% who say the city did not need Metro. At the same time, 45.9% of Thessalonians say that urban transport has become better and 41.5% say that traffic has improved.

At the same time, 51.5% of Thessalonians say that cleanliness has improved, as well as 40.2% that the general image of the city has improved. The picture is blurred when it comes to social structures, as well as the development of greenery and parking spaces. However, the picture of the work of the municipal authority is quite good – Mayor Stelios Angeloudis scores 57.9% of positive opinions, while 44.5% say they are satisfied with the work of the municipal authority.
