An Indian man called Abdul Hussein is accused of trying to kill his 9-year-old daughter by gagging her, tying her up and burying her alive in the back-yard of his house.

According to foreign media reports, the man dug the pit while his wife was out. Then he placed the little girl in the hole with her hands bound and her mouth taped up.

When his wife came home, he placed a bamboo basket over his daughter’s head to hide her so that he could bury her completely later on, the police said.

However, his wife realized that girl was missing and started searching her. Thankfully, the little girl was discovered by neighbors before it was too late.

Abdul was arrested, and now faces a charge of attempted murder.
