Students who engage in violent acts will face expulsion from universities, at least according to what Kyriakos Mitsotakis has announced.
Speaking on the First Program, Mitsotakis said, “There cannot be automated disciplinary consequences for those students who have mixed freedom of expression with organized violence.”
He continued: “It is one thing to express yourself freely within an institution that encourages freedom of expression and another to think you can bully because that is how you want to impose your point of view. If you fall into the latter category, you should be expelled from the public university.”
“And we will insist on this a lot and we will have to do it, using all the tools that the law gives us,” added the prime minister.
