The primary surplus of the state budget on a cash basis approached €4 billion in the January-April quarter, according to data from the Bank of Greece.
In the January-April 2025 period, the cash balance of the central government showed a surplus of €1.874 billion, compared to a deficit of €570 million in the corresponding period of 2024.
During this period, the revenue of the regular budget amounted to EUR 22.232 billion, up from EUR 20.612 billion last year.
As for the expenditure of the regular budget, it amounted to €19.796 billion, up from €19.521 billion in the January-April 2024 period.
