An eco-terrorist threw pink paint on a Picasso painting exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to protest environmental destruction and climate change.
Footage shared on social media by the climate activist group Last Generation Canada shows the moment they throw paint on the portrait — a 1901 work by Pablo Picasso titled L’hetaire.
One of them is then seen being escorted out of the Museum of Fine Arts by a security staff member.
The Instagram post includes a statement from the protester, who was identified by the group as Marcel, 21 years old.
