New Democracy spokesman Costas Karagounis attacked Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis on Wednesday, charging that duo is damaging the reputation of the country with their statements.

“Yesterday in Rome, Mr. Tsipras characterized Greece as a corrupt country. Today, Mr. Varoufakis described it as bankrupt. They are damaging the reputation of our country just like (former Prime Minister) George Papandreou did, and for this they will be judged by the Greek people,” he underlined in an official announcement.
