The first official image of Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein’s Monster has been released, offering a dramatic transformation of the actor in Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated adaptation of Frankenstein. The film is set to premiere on Netflix in November 2025.
With just four months to go before its debut, Vanity Fair unveiled an exclusive preview of the film on Monday, July 28, showcasing key characters in the gothic horror tale. In the newly released photo, Elordi appears nearly unrecognizable, clad in an elaborate costume with a hood and a mask obscuring half of his face.
Del Toro’s latest cinematic take on Mary Shelley’s classic novel centers on Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant yet hubristic scientist who creates life through a grotesque experiment—unleashing devastation upon himself and the tragic creature he brings into the world.
The star-studded cast includes Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi as the Monster, Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza, and Christoph Waltz as Dr. Pretorius. Rounding out the ensemble are Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Ralph Ineson, and Charles Dance.
