Newsroom February 13 10:25

Video showing a policeman slamming down a 9-year-old immigrant and beating his head on the concrete floor because he did not have a valid train ticket has shocked Swedish society.

The young Moroccan boy appears in the video crying, begging the policeman to stop beating him and saying a Muslim prayer, usually said to the dead.

The shocking incident took place on Feb. 6, and according to an anonymous witness to local newspaper the video does not capture all the brutality of the children’s beating. “You can’t even imagine the cries of the boy who was asking for help and praying while you could hear the banging of his skull on the stone floor,” he said.

Police have launched an investigation against the officer who has already been suspended.
