The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, was at the Kalymnos Hospital today (6.8.2025), where he wanted to see for himself the interventions being made as part of the largest renovation in decades.
In a post on X, Georgiades said he was proud of the renovation, as it was planned, integrated and completed under his tenure.
“We have taken delivery of 75 square metres of the CIC and we will deliver it in a few months, 400 square metres,” he said. Georgiades also mentioned the other actions being taken.
“The Hospital despite cries of misery, is adequately staffed, we have purchased through ECAPY 6 brand new dialysis machines for the island’s kidney patients, and in collaboration with Rhodes Hospital, we are organising a surgical team mission to clear the waiting list for cold surgery at the hospital. The NHS is changing and getting better!” he said in a post.
