Former U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday, imposing an additional 25% tariff on products from India, citing that the country had directly or indirectly imported Russian oil.

With this decision, President Trump is effectively “penalizing” India for its trade practices, bringing the total tariffs on Indian products to 50%.
