The fire is burning in a rugged area, making access difficult for firefighting forces. However, according to the latest information, there is no immediate threat to residential areas.
On the ground, 90 firefighters with 16 vehicles and eight hand-crews from the 10th Special Forest Firefighting Unit are operating. Local government water trucks and heavy machinery are assisting in the firefighting effort.
Until the last light of day, four airplanes and two helicopters were engaged from the air.
