Radiohead announce new tour after seven years

It will begin in November and last for 20 days

Newsroom September 4 06:20

Radiohead have announced a European tour, running for 20 days in November and December, marking the British rock band’s first concerts in seven years.

The announcement was made through social media. “Last year, we got together for rehearsals, just for fun,” said drummer Philip Selway, adding: “After a seven-year break, it felt really great to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that’s deeply embedded in all five of us.”

The band — which also includes singer and songwriter Thom Yorke, guitarists Jonny Greenwood and Ed O’Brien, and bassist Colin Greenwood — will play four shows in each of the following cities: Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin.

Radiohead’s comeback follows the recent reunion of Oasis, the biggest British band of the 1990s, which took place this summer.
