The grant, first offered between July 15, through to July 15, 2014, successfully increased the number of visitors to the museum every Thursday from 16% to 26% as it covers the museum’s operating expenses for that day of the week and accounts for one third of a total grant given to the museum by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
