When does the time change in October 2025?

The time change applies across all European Union countries

Newsroom October 16 01:20

We will need to set our clocks back one hour on the last Sunday of October, as winter time comes into effect.

Specifically, at 04:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the clocks will move back one hour, to 03:00 a.m.

The time change is implemented in all European Union countries as part of the common energy-saving policy — although its abolition has been under discussion for years, no final decision has yet been made.

The official announcement from the Ministry of Transport states:

“We remind you that on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the application of daylight saving time ends, in accordance with Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (19/01/2001) concerning provisions on summer time.
The hands of the clocks must be moved one hour back, that is, from 04:00 a.m. to 03:00 a.m..”
