US President Donald Trump is sincere in his efforts to end the war in Ukraine, but talks that exclude Ukraine and Europe will not succeed, European Union foreign policy chief Kaya Kalas said today.

“We are also working to try to convince our allies around the world that nothing can come out of these meetings without Ukraine or Europe’s participation in them,” Callas told reporters after the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

“The one who does not want the war to end is Russia. We should not be distracted… we have to make Russia want peace too,” Kaya Kalas added.
