The new U.S. Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle, arrives in Athens today on a private flight, as per protocol.
The first official obligation of her diplomatic term is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, when she will present her credentials to the President of the Republic, Constantine Tasoulas, in a ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
The mark of her diplomatic tenure is expected to be set later this week at the transatlantic energy forum being held in Athens, which will be attended by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, US Interior Secretary Dug Bergham and 24 European energy ministers.
The 6th Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC) Conference, taking place on November 6 and 7 at the Zappeion Hall, is co-organized by the Department of Environment and Energy, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center, marking the strengthening of Europe-U.S. cooperation for a secure, sustainable and affordable energy transition.
