A mother of Chechen descent kidnapped her two children and travelled to Syria to join ISIS, according to Dutch officials.

The divorced Dutch father and Dutch authorities were unable to prevent the 33 year-old woman – who remains unnamed- to leave the country. The most probably thing is that the mother and her children travelled through Europe with fake passports and aided by foreign ISIS recruiters.

The director of the Islamic school that the children were in notified their father that the mother had printed airplane tickets for all three, travelling to Greece, according to Reuters. It is thought that they are now in northeastern Syria and one of the many ISIS Headquarters.

Dozens of families, including children, have abandoned Holland the last two years to join ISIS, but this is the first case of one parent kidnapping the children without the other parent’s acquiescence.
