A massacre is believed to have been stopped by Greek FBI officials on Monday when they discovered heavy weapons and cans of gasoline in a car in the huts.

The tangle of the case began to unravel when the Greek FBI received information that someone was trafficking drugs in Kalyvia.

Police officers who arrived in the area located a Ford Fiesta car, which they determined was stolen. Inside it were found three Kalashnikovs, pistols with silencers and cans of petrol, gloves and helmets.

The ensuing investigation led to a man from Crete, who was found to be the one who had stolen the car.

In fact, it was revealed that the man in question has a history of having been involved with the authorities on several occasions.
