The Turkish Air Force today committed seven violations of Greek airspace and three violations of air traffic rules in the Athens FIR.
As it was announced by the General Staff of the Hellenic Air Force, one violation was made by a Turkish F-16 and the other six by an ATR-72 naval cooperation aircraft.
In total, a pair of Turkish F-16s and the ATR-72 which also made two violations of air traffic rules flew over the North and Northeast Aegean Sea today.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Defence, the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, as is standard practice.
