Not quite the Warholian “15 minutes”, but Greek FinMin Yanis Varoufakis did hold a roughly 12-minute chat with host Barack Obama on Thursday afternoon (EST) during the annual White House event honoring Greek Independence Day.

Photographs of the event were posted on Twitter by Greek-American journalist Apostolis Zoupaniotis, with a couple of photos showed both men conversing in an informal manner

Besides the US president, US VP Joe Biden attended the event, along with Archbishop Demetrios of America and a delegation of Greek officials, including Attica regional government Rena Dourou.
