2,500 marines have arrived in the Middle East, the US military announced – The war will continue “for a little while longer,” said J.D. Vance (Update)

The number of American military personnel injured in an Iranian strike on a base in Saudi Arabia has risen to 15 - ‘We are negotiating, but the Strait of Hormuz must be opened,’ says Trump regarding Iran

Israel intercepts Houthi drone over the city of Eilat

A drone, reportedly launched from Yemen, was intercepted by air defense systems over the southernmost city of Eilat a short while ago, according to the Israeli military.

The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen vowed to repeat attacks against Israel and earlier this morning launched a ballistic missile and a cruise missile, both of which were intercepted.

Earlier, according to the same statement, sirens had sounded in the area following the detection of the suspicious drone.

Hezbollah fired more than 250 rockets at Israel, say the IDF

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) report that Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched more than 250 rockets toward Israel today.

Specifically, according to a statement, Hezbollah fired approximately 250 rockets from Lebanon toward Israel over the past day.

However, the military says the overwhelming majority of the rockets targeted troops operating in southern Lebanon, with only 23 projectiles crossing the border into Israel.

Baghdad orders investigation after drone attack on residence of Iraqi Kurdistan president

The residence of the president of Iraqi Kurdistan was targeted in a drone attack early this morning, security sources said, in an incident that comes as tensions continue to rise in northern Iraq.

Air defense systems also shot down a drone near a Peshmerga fighters’ base in Duhok, the sources added.

The strikes come amid an increase in attacks on both Iran-linked militias and Kurdish forces, as the U.S.–Israel war against Iran spreads into Iraq, drawing in multiple armed groups and complicating Baghdad’s efforts to contain the fallout.

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani condemned the attack on the residence of Iraqi Kurdistan President Nechirvan Barzani and held a phone call with him, his office said.

At least five Lebanese rescuers killed by Israeli strikes

The Lebanese National News Agency reports that the Islamic Message Scouts Association mourns the death of five rescuers from an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon earlier today.

The deceased have been identified as Adel Atef Kandouh, Hussein Ali Darwish, Hassan Moussa Nour El-Din, Ali Hassan Jaha, and Ibrahim Zaher Abu Zaid. In a statement, the association emphasized that they “were martyred while performing their humanitarian duty during the aggressive raid on the town of Zoutar al-Gharbiya today.”

15 American soldiers injured in Iranian attack on base in Saudi Arabia

According to the latest information from the Associated Press, the number of injured American soldiers from Iranian attacks on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia has risen to 15.

Iran launched six ballistic missiles and 29 drones at the base in a Friday attack that injured at least 15 soldiers, including five seriously, according to AP sources.

What does it mean if a missile launch from Yemen toward Israel is confirmed?

The Israeli military announced that it detected a missile launched from Yemen—something that would mark the first attack of this kind since the start of the month-long war between the United States and Israel against Iran.

So far, the Houthis have not claimed responsibility, but the report comes just hours after Yemeni rebels warned they are ready to intervene militarily if other countries join the war or if the Red Sea is used for attacks against their ally.

This warning increases the risk of a broader regional conflict, given the Houthis’ ability to strike targets beyond Yemen’s borders, including oil facilities and critical infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as disrupt shipping routes around the Arabian Gulf.

Unlike Hezbollah in Lebanon and armed groups in Iraq, the Houthis have not made an official announcement about joining the war.

Relentless Israeli attacks in Lebanon push the population to its limits

Four weeks after the start of the war between Israel and the United States against Iran, millions of Lebanese civilians are suffering, facing the second large-scale Israeli assault on their country in less than two years.

Mass evacuation orders issued by Israel for southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, Dahieh, have left about a quarter of the country’s population displaced.

Even those who have not been displaced are experiencing the pressure from deadly Israeli strikes, with no sign that the conflict will end soon.

For the first time, Israel announces missile launch from Yemen toward its territory

The Israeli armed forces announced shortly after 06:00 (Greece time) that they detected a missile launch from Yemen toward Israeli territory, for the first time in the month-long war in the Middle East, after Houthi rebels again threatened yesterday to become involved in the armed conflict on Iran’s side.

According to brief statements, they detected “the launch of a missile from Yemen toward the territory of the State of Israel” and added that “air defense systems are operating to intercept the threat,” before giving the all-clear for residents to leave shelters about fifteen minutes later.
