The rare sight of albino roe deer was recorded by a farmer in Imathia.

Initially, the farmer, Thomas Cheimonas, who captured the images, believed it was a single roe deer, but later realized there were actually two of these rare animals.

As he told ERT, one had antlers and the other did not, which suggests that one may be female and the other male.

These roe deer suffer from albinism, meaning a lack of melanin, a phenomenon that can also occur in animals.

However, their white coloration means they are exposed to natural predators, as they do not have the “camouflage” that other roe deer possess.
