Her body was discovered in the back seat of her car in the area of Agia Varvara during a search operation carried out by emergency responders and police. Authorities noted that no weapon was found near her, effectively ruling out suicide and pointing instead to a possible homicide.

The 43-year-old mother from Dafnes had been missing since Sunday morning.

Forensic teams and a medical examiner were called to the scene to collect evidence from the vehicle and examine the body.

According to reports, a few hours after her disappearance, her children—who were trying to reach her—received an automated text message from her phone reading “I’ll call you later,” a message typically sent when a call is declined.

In a related development, her 40-year-old former partner was found dead a day earlier (April 21) near the chapel of Panagia Kardiotissa chapel in the area of Prophet Elias. According to information, he walked up a stone path above the chapel and fatally shot himself with a short-barrel shotgun in a rocky hollow among religious icons.

The man, a father of a young girl, had come under police scrutiny in the previous 24 hours and had been called in for questioning. A search of his home had also been conducted. His suicide occurred just hours later.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
