The PPC Tour of Hellas returns in 2026, in its 5th edition after the revival of 2022, confirming its position as one of the most important sporting events in the country and an event that combines high-level competition with the unique promotion of Greece on an international level.
In its 5th edition, the PPC Tour of Hellas returns from 6 to 10 May 2026 more powerful, more extroverted, and with even greater institutional and television dynamics. Under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, with the support of the Ministry of Sports and the participation of 20 teams, including 18 professional teams and the Greek and Cypriot National Teams, the Tour of Greece is steadily evolving into an event with a clear international orientation and high-level standards.
The best come to Greece and start from Ioannina

Important names of the world cycling scene are expected to be present, offering intense competition and high spectacle, while at the same time giving a platform to Greek athletes to excel against top rivals.
The Region of Attica is the protagonist with the 5th festive stage running through its most beautiful areas, starting from Piraeus and finishing in Athens, with the Municipality of Piraeus and the Municipality of Athens at the centre and Glyfada – Ilioupolis participating with sprints
On May 5, at 17:30 in an amazing setting at Lake Pamvotis, the 18 professional teams, the 2 national teams of Greece and Cyprus, and the 120 Pro riders will be presented before the Greek audience in a live broadcast by ERT. The evening will be closed with a concert by Andromachi, while the organizers have prepared many prizes with prizes for everyone!
Rich racing program
The race program (May 6-10) is spread over five demanding stages, covering different geographical areas of Greece, highlighting both the diversity of the landscape and the difficulty of the route. From coastal routes to mountain passes, the race offers a complete racing package that tests endurance, tactics and strategy.
With live television coverage

The PPC Tour of Hellas will be broadcast live for the first time on ERT’s open channel, ERT 2 Sports, and in parallel on the ERTFLIX online platform, as every year. ERT will also have broadcasts, before and at the end of each stage, with its journalistic team giving the pulse of the event in each start and finish city and putting unique images into every Greek home.
This year’s edition further enhances its international footprint, with interest in live coverage from international media already exceeding 15 media outlets.
Through television coverage that reaches dozens of countries, millions of viewers have the opportunity to experience the natural beauty, history, and culture of Greece.
Cities and regions that host the events are transformed into centers of sport and culture, boosting the local economy and attracting visitors from Greece and abroad.

Greece travels around the world
The event has already recorded a financial footprint of 8.3 million euros, while its international visibility reaches 140 countries. This year, this visibility is expected to increase even more, because apart from live broadcasting for the first time on free-to-air public television, there is increased interest from media from all over the world for live sports broadcasts, reaching 19, in addition to the media that will broadcast the race on film!
One race for all of Greece
This year’s event turns the Greek region into a global epicentre, mobilising 5 Regions and – directly or indirectly – 44 Municipalities in a breathtaking 5-day route.
A total of 108 towns and villages become the focus of this year’s Tour, highlighting the dynamics of the country at every kilometre of the route.
With an impressive start from Ioannina, with its stunning lake, to Agrinio, but also the 2nd stage from Karpenisi to Larissa, and the 3rd from Volos to Lamia, passing through Thermopylae, Gorgopotamos, up to the ascent of Parnitha in the 4th stage starting from Atalanti, and the passage from Piraeus in the last stage on 10 May, with the grand finale at Syntagma.
The role of PPC and partners
PPC’s contribution as a named sponsor is crucial to the development of the event. Through its support, the race acquires stability, international orientation, and the possibility of continuous development.
At the same time, the cooperation with institutions, local authorities, and organizations strengthens the multidimensional character of the event, making the race a collective national effort.
The PPC Tour of Hellas is not just a cycling race. It is a modern sporting event that combines innovation, sustainability, and extroversion. With high organizational standards, excellent security, and a professional approach, it is a model for similar events in the region.
The prize that does not just symbolize victory
In an organization that is so consciously building its identity, it’s no coincidence that the prize pool has depth as well. The cup, with its representation of the Centaurs, does more than just serve as the winner’s trophy. It is a symbol of strength, harmony, and balance – three values directly linked both to cycling and to the spirit of the Tour itself. At the same time, it connects the event with the Greek myth, the land that hosts it, and especially with Pelion, reinforcing this precious sense that the PPC Tour of Hellas does not copy foreign models, but builds its own, recognizable narrative.
The aim of the parallel actions

With impressive numbers and a strong social footprint, the parallel actions of the PPC Tour of Hellas highlight the educational and social character of the event. The programme includes 7 parallel and 13 precursor events, 34 visits to schools, with the participation of 40 educators and partners, in a tour of 90 days and 370 actions. More than 10,000 students actively participated, and 60,000 souvenirs were distributed by the sponsors, attracting thousands of spectators. The goal is to strengthen the connection of children and families to sports, cycling, and sustainable urban mobility across the country.
Bicycle and fun – StaVento and Ivy Adamou, Evangelia, Andromachi, Alexandra Bounatsa, and DJs’ sets entertain people

Alongside the racing programme, the PPC Tour of Hellas 2026 this year acquires an even more intense festive imprint through a special programme of artistic performances in the cities and stations of the event, turning the experience of the Tour into an open celebration for residents and visitors alike. The start is on May 5 in Ioannina with the Andromache, the Presentation of the 20 professional teams of the Tour, and continues at the finishes: on May 6 in Agrinio with Alexandra Bounatssa, on May 7 in Larissa with Evangelia and on May 8 in Lamia again with Andromache, while the climax comes on May 10 in Syntagma, where the grand finale of the event is accompanied by a big musical closing event with Stavento, Ivi Adamou, Evangelia, Kira May Cry, DJ Nikos Margoglou and Maria Fragaki.
