Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis today received representatives of Olympiacos at the Maximos Mansion, just a few days after they celebrated the EuroLeague title in Athens.
Specifically, the Prime Minister met with Olympiacos BC presidents Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, team coach Giorgos Bartzokas, players Kostas Papanikolaou and Thomas Walkup, and the club’s vice-president Giorgos Skindilias.

The Prime Minister congratulated them on winning the EuroLeague and had the opportunity to speak with them about the progress, achievements, and prospects of Greek basketball.
Notably, through Giorgos Bartzokas—who carries the nickname “the chess player” as a coach—they presented the Prime Minister with a set of commemorative gifts along with a chess set. “For some reason they call me a chess player,” the Olympiacos coach is heard saying before handing the gift to Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
