The Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces General Staff, General Rodolphe Haykal, has been conducting an official visit to Greece from Monday, June 15, through Wednesday, June 17, following an invitation from the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), General Dimitrios Choupis.
Today, Tuesday, June 16, the Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces General Staff laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and was then officially received by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff at Papagou Military Camp.
Following the official welcoming ceremony, a meeting was held between the two chiefs, during which they discussed matters of strategic importance, current geopolitical developments at both the regional and international levels, as well as ways to strengthen ties and bilateral cooperation.
This was followed by a briefing during which issues concerning defense policy and the activities of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff were presented.
