Greece and the traditional Greek taverna are joining the LEGO universe through a new collectible set in the “Restaurants of the World” series.
The LEGO Restaurants of the World: Greece (40908) set is designed for ages 12 and up and contains 254 pieces, which assemble into a miniature Greek taverna packed with characteristic details that evoke Greece and its culinary culture.
Among the standout features are a large fish mounted on the roof, a “Taverna” sign, a guitar, a cup of coffee, and a small cat, creating a scene inspired by traditional Greek tavernas.
The set also includes a LEGO minifigure representing the taverna owner, featuring a newly designed torso with Greek-inspired details. The figure adds play value while completing the miniature display.
The Greek restaurant is part of the collectible “Restaurants of the World” series, through which LEGO creates miniature restaurants inspired by different countries and cultures. The sets can be displayed together or individually as decorative pieces on a shelf, in a kitchen, or on a desk.
According to LEGO’s official website, the set is also recommended as a gift “for anyone who loves Greece, Greek food, travel, and, of course, LEGO building.” The completed model stands over 15 cm (6 in.) tall, measures approximately 10 cm (4 in.) wide, and 8 cm (3.1 in.) deep.
For those interested, however, the set is not currently available for standalone purchase. Instead, it is being offered as a gift with qualifying large orders placed through LEGO’s official website.
