The Greek Community of Melbourne is inviting children from kindergarten through to the early years of secondary school to step into the Labyrinth and embark on an exciting Greek adventure as part of its new school holiday program, “Escape Room, Greek Style: Escape from the Labyrinth.”

Combining fun, adventure and creativity with the Greek language, mythology, customs and traditions, the program offers children an engaging and interactive way to learn through play and discovery.

To find their way out of the Labyrinth, young explorers will need to solve puzzles and riddles, tackle tongue twisters, uncover hidden clues, work together and complete a series of fun challenges.

Along the way, they will encounter heroes and stories from Greek mythology, get creative with arts and crafts, and even prepare a traditional Greek recipe. And, of course, plenty of surprises will be waiting for them inside the Labyrinth.

Two dates, two locations

The program will be held on two dates and at two locations:

  • Monday, 21 September | 10:00 am–2:00 pm
Huntingdale Hall, Germain St, Oakleigh South
  • Thursday, 24 September | 10:00 am–2:00 pm
Belle Vue Primary School, 20 Highview Rd, Balwyn North VIC 3104

The activities have been designed to encourage children to use Greek in a natural and creative way while developing important skills such as teamwork, communication, imagination and problem-solving.

“Escape from the Labyrinth” offers a fresh approach to Greek language learning, transforming language and culture into an experience of play, exploration and discovery. Rather than feeling like a traditional lesson, the program gives children the opportunity to use what they already know, discover something new and, most importantly, have fun while engaging with Greek.

The Greek Community of Melbourne is calling on all young adventurers to take up the challenge.
