A fire broke out at around 10:30pm on Monday in the parking lot of an apartment building at the junction of Louloudion and Konitsis streets in Zografou, completely destroying a car.
According to reports, the vehicle belongs to the deputy mayor of Zografou, while the fire also caused material damage to two motorcycles that were at the same location.

During a search of the area, a petrol canister was found, reinforcing the indications that the incident was a deliberate arson attack.
According to reports, the authorities are investigating the presence of two young men, aged approximately 22 to 25, who are believed to have had their faces uncovered.
As part of the investigation, footage from security cameras in the area is being sought in order to map the suspects’ movements before and after the attack.

At around 4:30am, a fire broke out at an apartment building on Iras Street, completely destroying a car and a motorcycle, while a second private car also sustained material damage.

Two people who experienced respiratory problems due to smoke inhalation were picked up by EKAV ambulances and taken to hospital as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the competent authorities, while the possibility that it was an arson attack is also being examined.
