Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis announced today that they had shot down a Saudi fighter jet and accused Riyadh of carrying out hundreds of airstrikes in its neighbouring country.

The anti-government fighters “managed to shoot down a Saudi F-15 fighter jet while it was carrying out hostile operations (…) inside the airspace of Marib province, using a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile”, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said.
