Greek political leaders agreed on Monday over four main axes in seeking an urgent agreement with the country’s partners and creditors, during a meeting chaired by the Greek president.
The political leaders, including PM Alexis Tsipras, but excluding the leader of the small communist party (KKE), authorized the former to negotiate with partners on the specific axes, namely:

1. An attempt to achieve a socially fair agreement
2. An agreement that includes reforms deemed necessary for the country
3. An agreement that will ensure sufficient funding for economic growth
4. Attempts to resolve the debt issue, so that the latter becomes viable.

Here’s a copy of the joint statement:

“The recent decision of the Greek people does not comprise a mandate for rupture (clash), but a mandate for continuing and strengthening the effort to achieve a socially just and economically sustainable agreement. Towards this direction, the government assumes the responsibility to continue negotiations. … each political leader will contribute, respectively, within the framework of his or her institutional and political role. The common goal is to seek a solution that will ensure:

The adequate coverage of the country’s funding needs
Reliable reforms, based on the criterion of a just distribution of burdens and the promotion of growth, with the least possible recessionary effects
Powerful, front-loaded, growth program, first and foremost for combating unemployment and for the encouragement of entrepreneurship
A commitment towards the commencement of a substantive discussion in dealing with the problem of sustainability of the Greek public debt
Immediate priority is to restore liquidity in the financial system, in consultation with the ECB. The Prime Minister has pledged to brief political Leaders, immediately after the forthcoming EU Summit, for the first conclusions to be drawn and for the overall progress of negotiations.”

Here’s a timeline of the day’s meeting:

(Update-17.20) Greek PM Alexis Tispras and the leaders of the other Parliament-represented parties: New Democracy interim leader Vangelis Meimarakis; DM Panos Kammenos (ANEL), the junior government coalition partner; Stavros Theodorakis (Potami) and Fofi Genimata (PASOK) have reportedly signed a joint statement expected to be made public in the late afternoon.

Communist Party leader (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas disagreed with the statement and will not sign,. according to reports.

(Update-17.05) Greek PM Alexis Tsipras exits the presidential mansion after a seven-hour long meeting with President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and the other political party leaders. The other leaders are also gradually exiting the Presidential mansion. Tsipras is expected to make statement in a short while.

(Update: 15.22) According to the latest reports coming out of the meeting at the presidential mansion, during a break at about 2:30 pm, Tsipras reportedly spoke with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and promised to table specific proposals at tomorrow’s Eurozone meeting. Unconfirmed reports say Tsipras has agreed to start talks with Greece’s European partners on the basis of Jean-Claude Junker’s plan.

Reports by Greek media say that during the break, Tsipras was expected to have a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Minutes earlier, Energy Minister Panagiotis Lafazanis entered the meeting. Tsipras spoke with ECB President Mario Draghi.

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos called a Council of Greek political leaders shortly after the “no” vote victory on Sunday. The meeting was shortly interrupted for a telephone conversation with French President Francois Hollande.
