Revolutionary Guards spokesman Hossein Mohebbi warned today that Iran will “step up” its retaliation in the event of further US attacks.

“Our resistance will certainly intensify, drawing on the experience gained” during the war triggered in February by Israeli-American attacks.

“This time, we will not simply retaliate, but our approach will be offensive, and America will regret its actions and be humiliated more than ever,” Mohebbi said in an interview with Agence France-Presse in Tehran.

At the same time, he stressed that his country has “hardened” its conditions for ending the war with the United States.

“We had agreed to these terms with the US, but it violated the agreement,” Mohebbi said, referring to a roadmap signed by the two countries on 17 June, which did not prevent hostilities from resuming.

“Therefore, we have tightened our conditions accordingly,” the spokesman added, arguing that “the US has no choice but to accept our terms”.

He also stressed that the Guards reject any direct dialogue with the US, adding that this is the role of Iranian diplomats.

“The Americans tried to contact us, but we reject any contact. Our contacts with the enemy, as long as it is aggressive, are conducted exclusively through weapons,” he added.
