program-tickets-Athens-FestivalAthens Festival is a great celebration that lasts the last 56 summers and has hosted some of the leading lights of theatre, music and dance. Some of the people that floated the stage with their talent were Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, Mstislav Rostropovich, Theodorakis, Hadjidakis, Karolos Koun, Peter Hall, Nureyev, Martha Graham and Alicia Alonso.

August program
Rhesus of Euripides directed by Katerina Evangelatos (8 July – 9 August)
Ticket prices: 20€, 15€ for students and people over the age of 65 years old
The performance will be hosted at Aristotle’s Lyceum, near the Benaki Museum
Ecclessiazousae of Aristophanes directed by Yannis Bezos (31 July – 1 August)
Ticket prices: VIP: 45€, zone A 40€, zone B 20€, upper tier 13€, students 13€, 10€, unemployed, people with movement difficulties 5€
The performance will be hosted at Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
Ajax of Sophocles directed from Sylvia Liouliou (31 July – 1 August)
Ticket prices: zone A 25€, zone B 15€, students 10€, unemployed, people with movement difficulties 5€
The performance will be hosted at Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus
Iphigenia in Tauris of Euripides directed from Thomas Moschopoulos (7 – 8 August)
Ticket prices: VIP 50€ zone A 40€, zone B 25€, students 8€, upper tier 10€
The performance will be hosted at Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
Prometheus Bound of Aeschylus directed by Kostas Filippoglou (21 – 22 August)
Ticket prices: VIP 40€ zone A 30€, zone B 20€, students and people over 65 years old 15€, upper tier 15€, unemployed, people with movement difficulties 5€
The performance will be hosted at Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
Orestes of Euripides directed by Simos Kakalas (28 – 29 August)
Ticket prices: VIP 30€ zone A 25€, zone B 15€, students 15€, upper tier 10€, unemployed, people with movement difficulties 5€
The performance will be hosted at Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and will be presented in Greek with English supertitles.
