A demarche by SYRIZA on Schulz and Draghi for Juncker and Stournaras

During his telephone conversation with the president of European Parliament, the Leader of the main opposition expressed his utmost discontent on account of Juncker’s statements in favor of the government – An intervention by the ECB was requested by Mr. Tsipras owing to the actions of Stournaras

SYRIZA resorts to European institutions about everything that is taking place in our country in recent days regarding  the political, economic and banking front in our country in view of the presidential election.

According to information, on Tuesday afternoon a double impact took place similar to a demarche for the behavior of the head of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, and the European Central Bank for the statements of Yannis Stournaras on the liquidity problem in the Greek banking system, due to the current political situation.

Mr. Alexis Tsipras had a telephone conversation with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz. The two men discussed over the phone general issues and from his side Mr. Tsipras expressed his utmost discontent on account of Juncker’s statements in favor of the government.

Furthermore, according to the same sources, the leader of SYRIZA raised a broader issue with regarding the behaviors of institutional EU factors on the political developments in Greece.

At the same time, an intervention by the ECB was requested by SYRIZA owing to the actions of Stournaras.
