Afghan refugees attempted to rape girls in German public pool

Both men were arrested for attempted rape and sexual coercion and are being held in custody

The Afghan asylum seekers, aged 14 and 34, have been arrested for sexually assaulting two young girls at a public swimming pool in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany.

The girls, aged 14 and 18, were reportedly assaulted on Sunday at the main pool of the town’s Arriba baths complex. The two girls reported the assault to the security staff at the pool who held the men until police arrived.

Both men were arrested for attempted rape and sexual coercion and are being held in custody without bail since German court considered there was a flight risk and there were fears that they might commit further assaults if let free.
