Albania: “I’m not afraid of him, his insults don’t affect me” – Journalist’s response to being pushed by PM Rama (video)

"Today, Edi Rama realized more than ever that I ask my questions without being influenced by anyone"

Newsroom March 20 04:28

The journalist Ambrozia Meta responded to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who pushed her annoyed by the question she asked, with a post on Facebook. In the post, among other things, she writes about the Albanian Prime Minister that “I’m not afraid of him” and “his insults don’t affect me.”

According to Meta, what bothered Rama were questions about shady investments in the Sazan area and whether Albanians would benefit from it.

“Trying to avoid answering, the prime minister made a rude move towards my face, violating every professional ethic. It’s an act that doesn’t scare me, just like his insults don’t affect me, because I have the courage to ask him, as I never bargain with my profession and I consider dignity sacred,” Meta writes in her post, accompanied by the video of Rama’s inappropriate move.

“Today, Edi Rama realized more than ever that I ask my questions without being influenced by anyone, as I believe they should be made in the interest of public opinion and the country, which he believes he can distribute as a family property, turning a blind eye to oligarchs – domestic and foreign. I’m very sorry that today I ended up being the news myself and not my questions, for which I desperately sought answers,” concluded the journalist from Albania in her post.

#Albania: Women Press Freedom denounces PM Edi Rama’s aggression towards #AmbroziaMeta. It is unacceptable to push a reporter. Not the first time the leader has shown contempt toward critical press. We stand with Meta & demand Rama apologizes & treats journalists with respect. pic.twitter.com/nvYqI6BByD
