Banksy paints primary school wall as ‘present’

It was discovered along with a letter saying “it’s always easier to get forgiveness than permission”

The street artist Banksy has painted a wall of Bridge Farm Primary to thank students for naming one of the school houses in his honour.

It was discovered as teachers returned from the half-term break along with a letter saying “it’s always easier to get forgiveness than permission”, BBC reports.

A spokesman for Banksy confirmed to BBC News that the artwork is genuine.

The pupils had written to Banksy before Easter, telling him that they had voted to rename one of their four school houses in his honour.
