Beloved Greek actress Mina Adamaki died at the age of 78. The actress had recently been hospitalised due to a serious health problem.
Adamaki was born in Volos and graduated from the Law School of the University of Athens. She studied at the Drama School of the Art Theatre of Karolos Koun (1966). At a young age, she studied puppetry and pantomime in London.
Her first appearance was in the theatre, while still a student, with the Art Theater, in the play “The Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat”. She had acted in several TV series and movies.
Mina Adamaki had founded the troupe “Theatriki Syntechnia” and was a founding member of “Eleftheri Skini”.
She played many roles in theatre and television. The role of Irini in “Three Graces” remains iconic, next to Nena Menti and Anna Panagiotopoulou.
