Greek FinMin begins confiscations money in bank accounts

Government gets free reign into the money of those who have tax debt

The Greek government announced plans to confiscate bank accounts of those who owe large amounts to the tax office in the government’s newspaper. The General Secretariat of Public Revenue announced that the new  law is according to a deal struck by the government and creditors from the four institutions (EC, ECB, ESM, IMF). Hence the Finance Minsitry is set to confiscate deposits in bank accounts for tax debt worth more than 70,000 euros.

The process will be simple and take part in three steps.
