A knife attack against police officers took place on Thursday afternoon (10/11) in Brussels, in which one of them died.

According to the Associated Press, citing the federal prosecutor’s office, two police officers were attacked near Brussels North train station.

Local media reported that the attacker was shot.

“One of our patrols was attacked by a man armed with a knife”, police said. “The two policemen then called for reinforcements. An officer from another patrol used his firearm to neutralize the assailant”.
