The Fishlove campaign aims to take pressure away from eating popular fish

Actors, dancers and comedians stripped naked and posed with dead fish as part of Fishlove campaign.

The Fishlove campaign aims to take pressure away from eating popular fish, such as cod, by encouraging the consumption of lesser-known species like sprats, herring, mackerel and gurnard.

The latest photographic series from London seafood restaurant, J Sheekey Oyster Bar which endorsed Fishlove movement, tasked the celebrities with holding fish against their bare body.

Emma Thompson and her husband Greg Wise posed with two Black Scabbard fish from Portugal.

Speaking about the campaign, they said: “You do feel a little guilty holding a huge dead fish while you are very much alive, but by doing this Fishlove portrait with a deep-sea Black Scabbard fish we want to make clear the message: if we don’t end the overfishing and pollution of the ocean, all these beautiful creatures are threatened”.
